Early service?

Early service?
My GLE 450 is calling for Service B at 14,000 mi. (18 months); just had Service A @ 10,500. I know it has condition based service, but does that seem a little early? Others' experience?

I would follow the recommendation in the manual which depends on time, mileage, and assumes normal use. As long as synthetic oil is used, every 10K has always worked for me. You think there is an oil condition sensor that triggers the prompt for service?

That doesn’t make much sense to me. Even if you were towing all 3500 miles that seems unreasonable. Logic would indicate that city miles, high speeds and towing might reduce the normal service interval...maybe someone knows the formula. You might check the oil level if you haven’t done that. Since it’s electronic it might trigger Service if it reads low??? I had over 5000 miles on mine after Service A with no warning and had about 1500 miles towing & most of the rest city driving.

My guess is dealer changed the “time” interval on you. How many days since your last service? Do you have a compatible obdii scanner to check? You use to be able to check in the service data
haven’t looked in ours.

My guess is dealer changed the “time” interval on you. How many days since your last service? Do you have a compatible obdii scanner to check? You use to be able to check in the service settings https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IovUGmu43AM haven’t looked in ours.

If the recommendation for an early service appears, presumably is just looking for an oil change for some reason. What else could it be? Why not just go down to your local Jiffy Lube, change the oil, and hold off on the expensive Mercedes A or B service until the 10K interval turns up?

My vehicle is 17 months old and has 9100 miles on it. About 10 days ago the display said I was due for my B maintenance on two separate occasions at start. Then it stopped. I went into ASSYST PLUS and it said all was still ok. (I forget what it actually says but the B maintenance was not due). Another software glitch???

Guys, what happens if I delay my first Service A and it goes past 12 months? Does this affect anything on my records or warranty other than getting constant reminders? COVID is getting pretty serious over here and I don't want to take the risk of going to dealer and taking a loaner, etc. I don't have a lease on the vehicle.
