Grey wood is ugly with any combo, IMO. I have it with the dark grey interior and without the pano roof, it would be a funeral home in there... I think the macciato begs for the brown walnut wood - classic combo.
I guess I'll be a contrarian and recommend the Grey Oak. I agree Brown is more classic, and it's possible the Grey doesn't work well with a grey interior, but IMO it looks great with the macchiatto interior (perhaps not the case if you have the wood steering wheel).
It's what the demo car we drove had, and it looked really nice so that's what we ordered. Get lots of compliments on it too, but to each their own!
The grey doesn't work well with some colors, but the brown.....it’s bad.
I’m not sure what brown this is or if it’s still available but this is what I think of when I hear brown trim.
with Black Leather interior. Any ideas or preferences? Thank you in advance. Thread is kind of old. Looking into for a new 2024.
Grey. I had the walnut with the macchiato upholstery and the grain on the doors didn’t match the dash. I noticed it every time I drove the car. IMO the grey goes well with a black interior.
I don't post much here usually just lurking but for reference here's a pic of my wife's Emerald Green 2020 GLE with Macchiato Beige on Brown Walnut trim
Yeah we love it. Got it right before Covid restrictions started to fall into effect in 2020 and have enjoyed it ever since. No real problems with it at all even with all the new tech/hybrid drivetrain/airmatic suspension. I'm a sucker for the classic Green on Tan color scheme and while not quite tan the green and beige is a beautiful combination. Would absolutely buy again.
Here are a couple of more pics from when it was originally detailed and ceramic coated
