Roof Spoilers Not available?
Last week my salesperson let me know that our GLE 350 was ready to go and had been assigned a driver and that we should expect to get it this week....so great news. Today I got a call that they found that the car had been called back to the factory. ;(
After a little more digging it turns out that the car is ready but that they don't have the roof spoiler available because there is a "world-wide shortage." Has anyone heard of this? They're seeing if they can maybe go ahead and ship the car w/out the spoiler and add it when they are available, but I'm a little hesitant. I would want to make for sure the fit/finish is just as it came from the factory. Does anyone have any experience with getting things installed after the fact like this (re: paint, install?)
I was also quoted a timeline of 3-4 months for the spoiler to come in which seems wild to me... but anything is possible these days I suppose.
