GLE 350de

I charge my 350de straight from the mains overnight and have noticed that 100% shows 38 miles only

I'm curious - it says 38 miles when you start. After you drive 10 miles, does it show 28 miles range? Or more? Maybe it's just the computer estimate of the range that's wrong.

It can warn you if you feed it with a database of POIs. For example in Spain you can find a Comand (MB’s navigation system) database of speed cams and radars.

they are stored as POIs of a certain type. You just have to enable the audio warning in the POI section of MBUX.

How many miles can you actually drive in EV mode before the ICE kicks on? Have you actually tested it to verify the accuracy of the EV range estimate. EV range estimates are a complicated formula based on many different factors. Highly suspect the estimate is conservative until the computer learns your driving style (ave KW/mile used). Also range will increase as it gets warmer. My mother in law has a Outlander PHEV, and was raising all kinds of hell because the EV range indicated was dropping, she never bothered to actually measure the actual range she was getting, just assumed the meter estimate was accurate. Although the EV range was claiming 15 miles, I drove it and got 22 miles of EV range before the ICE kicked on…right on spec. I suspect something similar in I your case, the calculated EV range estimate is conservative.

I took delivery of my 350de last July, UK highest trim so comes with 22 inch alloy and the heavy sunroof by default. I’ve been getting 55-58 miles of pure EV range in the summer and 42-44 miles in the winter. AC is always on, average speed 30-40mph. The EV range plummets if I drive on motorway, consumes 14-15 miles of range for every 10 miles on GPS.
