Tire Pressure-Which Sticker to Obey?

We have a 2021 GLE 450. Wondering what people do about tire pressure. The manual says look at the sticker on the B pillar or fuel door. The problem is, that gives us three (or possibly four) different answers. There are two stickers on the B pillar, side by side. One says 39F/50R. The other says 38F/48R. The fuel door says 36F/36R for normal load and 39F/50R for maximum load.

The fuel door sticker is the one to use. Not sure why you have two different stickers on the B-pillar, but in the USA, the B-pillar only lists the max load recommended tire pressure. That pressure is meant for when the vehicle is loaded to its max allowed gross weight. It's done for safety reason in the USA dating back to the Firestone incidents in the 90s. It's safe to use the tire pressure on the B-pillar, but you'll pay with a rougher ride quality. For optimal ride quality given the load of the vehicle, always go with what the fuel door says, but be prepared to adjust the tire pressure up and down depending on how much you load the vehicle.

This place is a joke.
Read the fine print on the fuel door. Warm tires +4 psi, which will then (should!) match your door jamb.

The door jamb stickers don’t specify tire type like the one on the fuel door. Mine reads 6 lbs higher (door jamb) than the one on the fuel door (for my tires) and nothing about temps.
I had changed my factory tires and wheels to my winter set as soon as I got it home. Now changing them back I noted that the dealer left them at the shipping pressure of 45lbs. My car came with AS’s and the fuel door shows 4 tire pressure settings. They are designated 3 passenger and 5 passenger. First pair are designated 0-149, the second pair are for M&S (AS) tires that are V speed rated also.
I set mine for AS, 3 passengers=38 front; 33 rear. The ride is noticeably harsher than with my 20” winter tires set at 35 psi.

Thank you, this makes sense. Will set to 36/36.

The sticker on my fuel door specifies COLD tire temperatures; I run 32 front and rear, unless loaded, then increase rear.
