Too late now. Just drive it and enjoy it. I have a 350 and haven’t regretted my purchase for one second. The mileage is great and and from reading all the posts on the forum my impression is the 350 is more reliable (has had less serious issues) than the 450. It has more than enough power for my driving needs. The 350 has a 4 banger yes, but it makes 250 hp. That was V8 power in the 90s. I get compliments on it all the time. Mine is emerald green, and I had a guy come up to me ask, “what is the name of that color, money green?” I thought that was pretty funny. I told him he was close, I call it no mo money green.

Just enjoy it, who cares what other people think? What matters is what you think!

You hit the nail on the head. The engine is great on the 350, certainly not lacking for day to day driving. You will also have far less issues as the engine does not have the 48V battery which has an uncomfortable failure rate.

I am enjoying my 350 more and more each day. The concern that I had regarding sufficient power is quickly dissipating. I did notice some wind noise, it appeared to be on driver’s side. Has anyone else experienced this issue and what was done about it?

My 350 has 18k on it & I’ve enjoyed every minute of it. What I didn’t enjoy was the anxiety of taking delivery on a 4 cyl engine; there weren’t any 450’s in my area that I liked. I haven’t looked back since. In Europe the smaller engines are clearly the choice. The power is there and considering the 350 is the still the most common configuration on the GLE, it’’s the way to go. A 450 equipped the way I wanted it required a special order and a wait of approximately 4 months. Enjoy!

Hello;
Had my 2020 GLE 350 in for my first scheduled service. I’ve had a wind noise emanating from the drivers side mirror I believe it’s a common issue that people have posted. You might have same issue. The dealership was able to find a solution, I believe they opened the mirror housing and applied some Velcro tape or some other sealant. You might want to speak with shop foreman but I believe it’s a well documented issue. Same as you I wanted the 450 but wait was too long. The 350 is quick enough but the 450 would have been better LOL. Good luck with your new truck and hope you fix any issue you have. It’s a great vehicle.

Hello there, I purchased my SUV past Friday and I am wondering if you purchased the warranty package for the Tire and Rims. I paid 1500 dollars and I am very skeptical if it is worth it.
Can you please advise me?

I live in NYC the pothole capital of the world. I try to be extremely careful. I did not purchase the tire and wheel insurance plan. If you use it more than once , you’ve gotten all your money back. Not the worst thing to have, how many bells and whistles are on your GLE that you have and may never use . Whether an option or not, you paid for them. Enjoy your new vehicle and it was not a bad idea in buying the tire and wheel package

I have had a GLE350 for almost a year (10k miles) and a GLS450 for 2 months (1k). I can tell you that the 450 engine is smoother and the GLS ride is much nicer, as it's a larger car.

But there is nothing wrong with the GLE350 at all. It's a great vehicle for most travel we use it for. We just needed a bigger car because we got a great dane. 4 people, a dog, luggage for a ski trip or beach trip will push the limits of the GLE. LOL

Thanks, the more I use it the happier I am that I saved the 6k. It’s mainly my wife and I and it best suits our needs. My wife was sold on the clean uncluttered look of the interior, generally with cars she says that “they all look about the same “ , with the GLE she even noticed a significant difference. Hope the reliability is as good as the looks, thanks again
