Thumbs up 2021 GLE bump step

Looking to protect the rear bumper of my GLE. The one I purchased has the trailer hitch package. I most likely will never use it for towing however since I have it I was going to purchase a bump step simply for protection. Living in a more urban area some people tend to still park by feel. I am aware that there are many experts on this matter, if anyone can give me some advice regarding which bump step to buy or any related information that would be great. The exterior color of my GLE is white, I was going to go with the basic Weather Guard one, any work better or may look better on the GLE, thanks

You might also want to consider one of these. Great way to carry more luggage without an impact to gas mileage. I purchased one a few years back for my QX60, and it is awesome when needed.

Trailer Hitch Cargo Carrier

You can also purchase a weather proof luggage bag.

I got the Weathertech Bump Step (with stainless hitch pin) for the same reason you mention. https://www.weathertech.com/bumpstep-original/ or
Amazon Amazon
. It also works well if you need to access the roof, holds my weight solidly. My car is the diamond white with night package.

I'm far from an expert on this matter but no issues or complaints, seems like a solid product and I installed it just before this winter season. The only "drawback" (which is obvious and no fault of the product) is that it's slightly annoying to put the baby stroller in and out of the trunk every time, because I need to stand a few inches further back and lean more to avoid the step.
