Family and friends who had owned Lexus products always raved how the company and the local dealerships treated them. They appear to be the Nordstrom while Mercedes is the Macy’s, not bad however not that good either.

I, too travel 2 hours to a dealer whose service department I trust, an hour and a half beyond the closest dealer.
I would not buy a Lexus because of their local dealer's service reputation. And others I could name but won't, because my experience may differ from others.
But the Porsche dealer is stellar.
It just depends, and you can't make a generalization about all dealers from any brand.
A big part of any dealer's ability to take care of you, is their relationship with the Factory Service Rep. It's something to cultivate, although many new, third-generation owners don't seem to be aware.
