Ordering GLE350

I am trying to order an GLE350 with my specs, can we negotiate price at the time of order/deposit?
Dealer says at this time he can only tell MSRP, he will negotiate the price at the time of delivery, is that correct?

also is the deposit at the time of order returnable if i cancel the deal later for any reason?

It depends on the dealership. Some will say the price has to be negotiated at the time you place the order, others will negotiate when the car is about to arrive/arrives. When I did mine, I negotiated the price after I ordered the car up until the day I signed and took delivery.

As far as a deposit, it should be refundable (at least here in the States). With mine I did not have to put a deposit down because I went through the same sales person my whole family uses.

Follow the Golden Rule- He who has the Gold (MBz in this case) makes the rules. The dealer can do anything they want in regards to this issue. I negotiated at the time of putting up the deposit.

Everything is negotiable, if both parties are willing to negotiate. If that dealer won’t negotiate before you order, call around and find one who will.

Also, recommend you use Truecar to get an estimate of what GLEs are selling for in your location, and use that info to try and negotiate a better deal. At the very least it will give you some idea of what is a reasonable price and what is not a reasonable price.

Agreed with everyone on this thread. If the dealer isn't willing to negotiate go elsewhere. I negotiated my order at the time of deposit so we both agreed to a certain price right before I put money down. The first dealer I went to which is a dealer me and my whole family have done business with didn't even want to entertain the idea of a discount. Felt a little disrespected but hey its business. If they're getting people that are paying MSRP on the 53 then it just not the dealer for me. I just went over to a competitor and they truly wanted to earn my business so we agreed on a pretty good discount in my opinion. Don't give up on a discount. There is someone willing to earn your business.
