I purchased the OEM illuminated star and wiring harness for the front grill on my 2021 GLE 350. I am having a hard time determining what fuse slot to connect the illuminated star to? The illumination star wiring harness did come with a 5 amp fuse and cable that should be connected into one of the slots. I have a few slots available (see pics below). I checked the fuse allocation document to identify the available slots and which would be the best one to use so the illumination star works correctly (when the headlights lights turn on etc). However, the document does not show the amps for some of the slots. My question is does anyone know what slot is suppose to be used for the illumination star? Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Below is a picture of the fuse chart (I have highlighted in yellow the available slots) for the V167 and a picture of my actual fuse box in the engine bay.

In the fuse box in the trunk, there is a paper with fuse box diagrams and what they protect. I believe the engine bay fuse boxes are listed on this too. Check this document.

A relative installed his using the attached link method and fuse type and location. And, it works fine.

However, I like the installation where the star light up briefly when starting the car, and when locking car.

ILLUMINATED STAR INSTALL FUSE LOCATION
I just purchase the illuminated star for my 2021 GLE 350 . I cant seem to remove the factory star in the amg diamond grill. The car does not have the distronic option. I tried turning the star counter clockwise but it doesnt want to budge. How did you remove yours? Also what fuse location did you use 128??

I don’t have the diamond grill but to remove my star I had to snap it out. I installed the illuminated star by turning it. I used the 128 fuse spot, unclipped the back part of the fuse (white) to insert the red pin from the harness. For the ground I used the 13mm brass nut.
