New GLE350 owner-ventilated seat issue

My ‘21 GLE 350 has “ventilated” seats. The car I test drove had seats that were actually a little cool. Car I got cools my back but not my legs. Black interior in 90-100 degree temperatures requires real cooling. I’m so mad. Brought in to dealer today. They say the 2 fans are both working properly.

Check under the Comfort tab on the infotainment system. Then look under seat heating balance. I'm not sure if adjusting the seat heating balance will affect the cooling, but it may be worth a try. There are options for seat back, seat base, and both.

Correct, confirm the seats are not air conditioned cooled, just ventilated by a fan. So, you’ll want to run the A/C. The seats are heated, so you can use heat and ventilation together in the winter.

Nolagirl, you won't feel much more than a slight cooling effect and more in back than on the bottom part of the seat. I have the dark interior with the ventilated seats - the benefit is modest at best. If you feel the slightest effect, it is likely working properly. Congrats on the new wheels, by the way.

Having had ventilated seats for many years across various brands, the best I have experienced is that my clothes don't get wet or as damp as without. I recall at one time there was one brand that send refrigerated air through the seats. Now that would make a difference.

Was, yes, my 2006 Cadillac actually cooled the seats - not just ventilated, also heated the windshield washer fluid.

I used the ventilated seats for the first time yesterday with the AC on and it was actually a pleasant experience. I felt the cool air on my back and it was refreshing.

when the ac is on it seems to be more effective but then cool air is lower in the car and probably that is drawn into the ventilation fan

W222 - 2014
Resurrecting this older thread. I have a 2014 W222, and while I can hear (and feel the vibration of) the passenger's seat ventillation fan come on when I turn it on, I cannot hear the driver's side fan. Wondering if checking the fan connections, replacing the fan, etc. is a DIY type project, or is it fairly involved to get at the fan location (i.e. remove the seat, etc)?
