My question is why not publish it along with rest of the other models….just saying….the model does not lease well at all according to our dealer. Maybe is best to purchase it…Look at the CLS 53 for 2022, it will not be available in the US.
From what I hear they meant to publish it, but when dealers go to download it, it downloads GLS info instead. Hopefully that mistake will be fixed soon.
MSRP for options are still TBD, anyone know the ETA until these becomes available? Curious to see if the Exterior Lighting Package price will decrease since the auto high beam is now standard.
I don't know if it will be discounted or not but when looking further into the guide it has this information towards the bottom of the guide. I am picking our '21 GLE 450 up tomorrow or Saturday depending on my work schedule and I got the upgraded lights and it's kind of a bummer that some of it's standard but if it is still $900 then the other option really better be worth the money. I dont really know yet so I have no opinion on this yet.

Only bummer there are no cornering lights. Feels like for me $900 upgrade wasn’t much of an upgrade.
Has anyone seen any updated Dealer Ordering Guides for 2022 GLE yet. This one was helpful, but I'm wondering if they have updated with any changes since it was posted. Also, any pricing updates for base and options yet on the 2022 models?
Thanks much.

Not much chance, but there will be an E Performance GLE 63 in the future. Since you can still order a GLE 63 S it’s not likely it’s been cancelled.
Well, you just never know. I ordered a 2015 GLE350 Diesel, which got built, then shipped to Baltimore, then held for three months, then disappeared from the system, and was later shown as "cancelled."
You never know. In the other thread some are saying theirs got cancelled and moved to a E53. Some are saying that MB is canceling a lot of the 63s because it is hurting their fuel standards and others say their order is fine. I do find it hard that MB would be permanently canceling the 63 but I can imagine them cutting them back right now to fill other orders and lines. Who knows in this current world.
A 580 with E-ABC would make a sweet ride. Might even be better if they programmed Active Curve in all driving modes. A few days ago I made a long trip on 2 lane roads with a lot of curves and really enjoy the Active AMG Sway Bar System. I have never driven a car that handled so good.
To top it off, a California couple with a new Escalade followed behind me while parking and they dropped by our table to comment about our GLE…beautiful…I’m jealous…almost ordered one! I keep getting compliments on the looks and “head turners” around town.
The E-Active Body Control option was also listed as an option for 2021 here, but it actually was not available to order.
I recall fabbrisd1 saying it was removed because of a low take rate, meaning not a lot of customers ordered the option.
Someone should check with their dealer to see if the MY22 NetStar configurator shows the option or not. I am guessing it's probably still missing.

The Active Curve function of E-ABC, as you know, is primarily for comfort, not performance. It works well when driving with passengers briskly on curvy roads. I'm not sure if it's technically possible to make it "sportier." I will say that I use Sport+ on a twisty 50-mile canyon drive form near Baker City to Halfway every Labor Day when we go to Eastern Oregon (except last year) and am very impressed. It's twistier than it looks here with lots of elevation changes. I will try to take a video when we go this year.

Another possibility vs the take rate theory was the manufacturing quality issue that seemed to dog E-ABC. Greg was the only February 2019 E-ABC build that got his car...the others showed production complete but never got a car. Several either reordered without it or jumped ship to another brand after waiting months with no car & no update. As I recall, it was 6-8 months before any shipped and the option was then dropped later for the GLE. Personally I don’t buy the “take rate” theory because of the delays and limited availability making it difficult to judge demand under those conditions. My theory is that the Supplier had difficulty producing enough volume & also a quality product.

We're getting a little OT here, but I agree that it's likely a manufacturing issue with Bilstein and others. At $8,200 (in 2018) it is profit for M-B regardless of how many they sell. It's a very complicated system, which is why, for the first time ever, I got an extended warranty. That being said, I have had zero issues with it.

Huh, this is fascinating. I’m assuming that like the ‘21, it was in the QRG but not actually available, at least on the US vehicles other then the GLS580. But I’m holding out hope that the GLE will get the option again. Was E-ABC still available on foreign market GLEs in ‘21?
Here is the response from MBUSA on E-ABC availability:
