Sorry to say, you seem to have been ripped off. You could have purchased your first 3 services when you purchased the vehicle for about $1700.00 . That would be an A- B-A service. On a 3 year lease you may only need 2 services and turn the car in just prior to the final service. Cannot understand how the money you were charged could be substantiated by the dealer. I purchased my GLE and the salesman told me to hold off from buying prepaid service. He will do whatever he can when I bring my car in. He is a real nice guy and has helped me out in the past. Using round numbers you should have been charged about $300 , you may want to contact MB customer relations and ask them to look into this, nothing to lose.
But it looks like there was a lot more work done than the OP wants to disclose.
Read the rest of the thread.
Best to ignore this until the OP shows us what was done.
First letter for the OP - "T."

Few months back I was getting the cost for Service B from the dealers in Orlando and surrounding area. Most dealer offered around $1000+. Got it done from Mercedes of Tampa for less then $500 for service B. I bought the car from them too so if you are in central Florida area make sure to check price with them for any service.

Is there a consensus on a good price, i.e., $2k? Basically I"m willing to pay more if it's way easier and a way better experience
I stopped by a Benz dealership today (I'm looking & comparing against BMW) and the service experience looked WAY better than I've had with BMW but I get it's variable by dealer ... I also asked them the price for services A & B and it was ~$350 and ~$800 and this is in Silicon Valley so that didn't seem too bad compared to what I know of Porsche ...
Your thoughts, advice, and help is appreciated!

Quick question all - does the pre-paid maintenance go to MB USA or is it per dealer? i.e., if you prepay can you go to any Benz dealer?

You can go to any Dealer. I think that the Dealer gets a % sales commission and Benz the rest of the money. The Dealer will normally provide a loaner vehicle.
Since the charge seems to vary by Dealer, It might be to your advantage to purchase the Service Contract if you intend to go to different dealers. Otherwise there is no advantage. The disadvantage is that the Service stays with the car so if you sell early you don’t get a refund.

And there IS a profit to the F&I department, so negotiating it as part of the "out the door" price can be beneficial. They may sell/include it at their cost as a closing tool.

I paid $2250 for the 4 year prepaid maintenance plan when I purchased my 450. Based on ~$350 for service A and ~$800 for service B, I guess I didn't get ripped off. 2x350+2x800=2300 so it looks like about right.
The finance manager initially wanted to charge me over $3K for the PPM and I countered it with a quote I received from somewhere else which he matched. So I can see how people can easily be over charged for PPM if they don't research.
