The 48V is already on the GLE 300d diesel produced in 2022, at least in Europe. The horsepower (not counting the electric engine) also got higher by about 30 HP compared to the previous version. I don't know about the GLS.

I think I read about it at the MB Passion blog, they are usually well informed about this kind of change. Yes, if true it would apply to GLS too. It's the same car really, just a little longer.

The Mercedes order page has show the 300d with 48V since December of 2021, so it's definitely true.

Sure, but that's a 4-cylinder engine, the 400d is a 6-cylinder.
