Okay, "seamlessly jerky" then. Sometimes if I'm sitting at a light and ease off the brake a little without realizing it, it feels like I've been rear-ended. Twice it was so harsh, I actually looked in my rear view mirror to see if I'd been hit. I would love to permanently disable it.
problem is that you will not keep that car forever
so what if the buyer wants it ?
We I code it to "last remember" it will stay off forever untill you turn it back on.
and so on

My wife's 350 is unbelievable "seamless". It's so jerky that it became the first thing she does after starting the car. My X5, with the 48V, seems much better. In fact, it doesn't bother me anymore. I coded it off (21+ no longer has the button to turn it off) but last visit the dealer reset it and I didn't feel the need to do it anymore. Maybe I got used to it. She, however, still complains when she's in my car. So I just drive in S mode. So "seamless" is definitely a subjective term. Since we're on this topic, anyone knows why it's not something we can buy and do it ourselves like BMW?
