All weather mats?

Which all weather mats do you guys have and recommend? Also, how about the cargo area? I'm in California so I only have to deal with little rain and occasional muddy shoes (we are in a drought) but I want to add a all weather mats to protect the interior a bit.

You will get dozen different opinions with brands available but I’ll start. I have the made in Europe version of OEM (Romania?) and love them. Mine are over 2 years old and still looking good. They have deep squared cleats for the cargo so things don’t slide around as easy. Those mats might be harder to order now because last I knew Mercedes was using a WeatherTech mat in the US.
All available have a different price point and features. If I were you I would use Google and look at the pics and design. WeatherTech seem to be the leader…you can’t go wrong with fit on either OEM or their mat…might be the same thing.

I've used WeatherTech in the SUV's / CUV's over the years.

I'm leaning towards the WeatherTech floormats and cargo mat. They are sort of pricey but I'm sure they are worthy it.

I have 3D Maxpider in the wife's GLC and I plan to put them in my GLE when it comes in next week. Excellent fit and great cost.

Bought WeatherTech for the 2nd, 3rd row and cargo area but bought OEM for driver/front passenger as I didn't want WeatherTech logo in the front. The OEM mats appear to be sturdier.

If as you say you live in a climate with no excessive moisture, check out Exactmats. They have a website. We’ve used them for years, five part installation.

I have the OEM mats for my 2021 and they have very little coverage compared to WeatherTech and look cheap.

BUT, the Weathertech will soon collapse around the edges, and trap debris, grinding it in underneath instead of protecting. That's when you'll wish you have - just about anything else.

I can attest to that. Was disappointed in mine and bought husky liners afterwards in previous vehicles. They ended up similar to the weather tech. Although it's only been a few months in the GLC, the 3Dpiders are holding up great.

The Lloyd's Northridge uses the concept of small pockets in the texture to trap dirt.

I've heard nothing but good things about the Maxpider 3D mats. I also have a 2020 Ford Raptor and those guys love them too. However, the Wife's 2022 GLE 450 has theEspresso Brown/Black Leather. On the Maxpider website, they only list colors "grey" and "tan". I've heard the "grey" is actually black and saw a pic where the tan looked more brown. What did you go with on what color interior?

I went with the OEM in the front and back and Weathertech cargo mat in the rear. Weathertech mats look great for a while but soon warp and don’t fit well. The OEM mats fit well and seem durable at first glance. The dealer threw them in for me so if I have issues with them down the road I’ll just throw them out and try something else.
