2021 GLE 350 - Has anyone figured out a wireless solution to the fact that you need to have your iPhone connected via dongle. This really is a major design flaw in this car.

You’ll need an adapter. I recently got this one from Amazon and it works flawlessly.

Does it have to use the UBB-C port near the wireless charger as well?

Nope, it just plugs into the carplay USB-C port and that’s it. I have mine routed to the glove box so its out of the way.

Is there another CarPlay USB-C port other than the one located next to the wireless charger in the 2021 GLE 350?

I received the same one recently and it works well. How difficult was it to route it to your glove box?

It’s pretty easy. Just have the wire sticking out around the port.

Just realize that the wireless connection is much lower sound quality than wired, even on simple phone calls.

That shouldn't be the case I think. It uses bluetooth to establish the connection, but then uses device to devide wifi, which is very high bandwidth. Maybe it depends on the specific dongle, but I haven't noticed any difference in quality between wired and wireless caraply. The only difference is a slight lag when issuing commands, but that happens on older dongles. The newer ones don't have that problem.

Pandora has a Premium service that has significantly better sound quality. Other features as well.
