Question PARKTRONIC active parking assist
I prefer to back up into perpendicular parking spots. My active parking assist (PARKTRONIC) does not have the forward/reverse option you see on tutorials. Is there a setting that I am missing? 2021 GLE 450 March build.

Isn't that what the screen shows? A choice between Forward and Reverse? And you touch one of those choices to give directions?

I admit I haven't used the feature very often, because it seems a lot slower than my W166. I'll be interested in feedback you get.

Mine does not have the forward/reverse option or the "Please Select Parking Direction and Confirm" message.

There are plenty of youtube videos on it. Practice in a mall. In Philly, your parking spot would be gone by the time you can activate it.

That was the problem, I ran out of time and just parked it myself. It's a feature that the wife would like to use. I'll look for the videos.

I made the mistake of trying it for the hell of it the first time while downtown in Manhattan on a weekend. I cancelled and parked myself. Have to try it on a quite day in the city. I think I still find it faster to just parallel park on my own after living in Manhattan all my life :-) . I should probably check out a youtube vid
