Settings Amnesia

We have had several instances where some of the settings in our 2020 GLE350 are forgotten for no apparent reason. For example, seat memory, selected audio stations, and some others. Also, certain things that we have not selected occur such as attention notifications, seatbelt tensioning, and some others. All easily reset.

Are these just occasional quirks and features that we have to live with or is there some software fix at the dealer that can address this. We have our B-service coming soon and I wondered if this is a common problem before I visited the dealer.

Is it possible that the profile is set to someone else when you start the vehicle? Is it possible that you are in the Guest profile and set as reset after vehicle ignition is off?

We don’t use profiles. It is my wife’s car, and she uses it mostly. It also happens very infrequently, maybe every month or so until we notice it. Both seat memories are gone. All the presets for the radio are gone. We would be on a long trip and get a notification to take a break. I go onto the setting for that and it’s on standard. I reset it to off, but then a few weeks later it happens again. That kind of thing.

This sounds like something is resetting. Battery or power saving? I'd check to make sure the battery terminal bolts under the drivers seat are tight.

I see, so it rules out that then. What did the dealership say?

Curious if you always use the same key to unlock / start the car, or do you switch between the 2 keys?

Although you're not using the profiles, are you linking the default profile with the Mercedes Me app?

I have a similar, but a bit more complex issue.
Occasionally when driving the car kind of chokes, after that the gear shifts are jerky for some kms.
Coincidentally, or not, when that happen, the Charging Interruption setting is reset, either momentarily or permanently.
Last time it happened I had the charging settings screen open so I caught it being reset to None, and after some seconds, back to the programmed interval (without no user interaction).
Sometimes it gets reset to 00:00 - 00:00 (and I have to manually change it back.. never caught this one in real-time yet)
Last time I had a charging error and when got to the car, the Charging Interruption setting was reset to 00:00 - 00:00

Any clues, anyone?

not sure exactly but a failing 12V might erase some memory settings, for example: https://mbworld.org/forums/mercedes-...ml#post9094564

Humm, but that would expect it to affect other systems, and no glitch in any other system occurs...
btw, its a 2024 c300e PHEV.
