I ordered this option and got my car this week. Did they activate the Intelligent Light System in US? I could see that car in from of me is dark while rest of the areas are bright. Did anyone notice it?

I hope it’s true but yours might be a mistake. A Government Agency has never done anything that fast…the recent legislation gave them 2 years to adopt the Adaptive Headlights rules for the US. Could it be a mistake made at the Factory confusing your build with a European Model?

Not that I have seen but you describe how they are supposed to work. Maybe someone with a new build will chime in to see if they have made the change to other 2022’s. My 2021 dims both headlights when approaching a car. There is a straight line with only the lower pointing LED’s on…unmistakable from the Adaptive.

If it's enabled there is an option in the MBUX lighting menu for 'Intelligent Lighting'. That option did not show up on my '21 until the option was coded by Raj.

sorry, no. My car is in the US but I'm overseas for the next month. I just recall this is the option Raj pointed me to when he coded it, to make sure it was now available and set on.

Looks like mine was ordered with this according to my build page. I thought it did since the lights do a dance at night when I turn the car on, but wasn't 100% sure. I'd like to get the Multibeam coded that being the case.

My car is currently at the dealership. I will have them turn this on since it is now legal. Should be done under warranty since it was optioned and ordered with the vehicle.

Keep us posted! I can imagine dealers giving every excuse in the book to not want to reprogram depending on how they want to interpret the original option description. I've already paid to reprogram mine.

I don't expect there are many Hackers at Dealerships.

Coding would have to come from Mercedes, I would think, for a dealer to be confident they won't be liable.
Or for me to allow it by their Internet Sales Advisor, or whoever claims to be their exspurt.

RJ for me. His prices are better overall but BenzNinja seems to have a more extensive menu and off-the-menu programming.

My dealer services performance-tuned cars like Brabus, but they won't code.
BTW It's fun to see a line of Brabus badges in a row.
