The brake hold system works the same as in our Tesla Model S and IMHO, it's very intuitive. My daughter's Acura has a button which I believe is more cumbersome as you have to search and then press it.

I have a Tesla Model Y and it automatically stays on. I don't have to do the quick stab each time of the brake pedal.

I thought I'd visit a few Tesla forums. Guess what I found.
There are a bunch of posts complaining about the Tesla Hold function, and how they can't seem to make it work.
On top of that, owners must choose their SETTING, Hold, Roll, or Creep.

We only have one version to master, and we don't have to choose a Setting!

The hold function works well but how lazy have we become that we can't hold our foot on the brake at a red light?

You clearly haven't had to experience miserable stop and go traffic in LA.

At least on my 53AMG, sometimes when I stop, the battery does not take over and engine keeps running. When I press the brake, the HOLD comes on and the car is powered by the battery. Also when I have to creep up at a traffic light, unless I do the HOLD, the car engine keeps running.

I have, in a 5 speed with a heavy clutch, no brake hold. We’ve become soft!

Maybe these will help.

Now I realize it was in the manual all along but I would have never found it if it wasn't for this forum. Thanks for posting it.

Never had an issue with the HOLD feature. A bit of push on the brake pedal and that does it…..

Yes Hyundai has conveniently located your desired but infuriating switch.
Now if they could fix their burning car issues.

Be sure to check your new ride's VIN, since Hyundai just expanded their 1.2 million engine fire recall

Funny that this isn't an issue for JD Powers and Consumer Reports in their reliability reports, even though it affected 200% of their 2020 sales.
