WARNING...BEWARE!!!! my 2020 E class SUV has been in the workshop for various computer-related issues 5 times since being bought new. the last time the car ripped the steering wheel out of my hands 3 times in a couple of minutes. 3rd time with "lane assist" turned off!!! Mercedes Benz Australia have refused my request for a replacement vehicle despite the dealership owner doing his best to assist me

My lane assist has been turned off almost since I got the vehicle. I have seen the same type of response as you, maybe not hard enough that I couldn't control the steering but it was trying to be forceful and stop me from turning where I wanted to.
