2021 GLE 350 4MATIC
Smile 1 Year Later - Zero Issues

I've had my 2021 GLE 4Matic for 1 year now and I've had zero issues whatsoever. I love this car. I go out into the garage and stare at it still. I got as many options as possible and don't regret it. I have the 350 and it's all the power I need. Emerald Green - beautiful. Driver assistance+ package - love it. Massage seats - love. I will continue to live in my bubble of happiness and look for excuses to drive my car. I wrapped the full front end w/ ppf, mirrors, rocker panels, wheel wells, tinted the front windows. It's a beautiful thing. Zero regrets.

Beautiful color! That's the color GLE 450 I have on order, also with the AMG exterior appearance package and almost all options except I went with the MB Tex seats for durability and ease of cleaning, since I opted for the light interior.

So I have that color, and have the tan leather seats—love it too by the way. I had the leather (and the exterior paint) DuPont treated, which warranties them against staining. Fast forward a year, my youngest daughter gets some pen ink on the rear seat and when my wife goes to clean it, she removes the finish on the leather in a small area ((like two mm) -- don't clean leather with isopropyl alcohol by the way. After she calmed down, I took it in to the dealer to have it repaired, and out of kindness and great customer service they chose to replace the leather under warranty—I have a great dealer. Anyway, in my relief we failed to retreat the leather with DuPont. So fast forward another year, and this past Christmas my mom sat in the back and was wearing a new black knit jacket, and managed to stain the rear seat with black ink. So this time I took it to the dealer (I learned my lesson) and they could not clean it—this crap was permanent. So this time we had it redyed—took a total of 5 hours. I didn’t know what to expect—but the results blew me away. The leather looks brand new, no one would know it was redyed. (I also had the dyed leather retreated with DuPont —another lessoned learned. Best $500 I ever spent when I purchased the car 2 years ago.) Moral of the story-don’t be afraid of the leather, it can be redyed inexpensively worst case to new condition. If you get light colored leather, get it DuPont treated so it is warranted.

Great to hear, we share similar feelings, although have only had the car since June of '21. We also have the Emerald Green Metallic over Macchiato Beige and AMG-Line exterior and the car gets a ton of compliments purely because of how gorgeous the color is.

My favorite exterior color by a long shot. I saw it for the first time at the (2018?) New york auto show on an S CLass. It was dark so it appeared black but as we got near it, the lights shining on it showed the beautiful metallic green sparckle. I was in love. I think the emerald green with a beige interior is maybe the most classy georgous color combination ou can get, especially with the AMG line package(I think the plastic arches in black clash with the green) and with the chrome accents (night package looks nice on white or cirrus/iridium silver, but I think a dark car needs the contrast).

By the way, @Gurgeh in terms of MB-Tex vs Leather, the leather probably isn't that bad to care for as @TexAg91 said, but I have Mb-Tex in my car and it doesn't get oily at all and is SO easy to clean, and I think the material feels as nice as leather if not nicer because it's a little softer and more plush. I have no regrets getting Mb-Tex. It still looks new 7 years later with not much treatment. unless you're going for massage seats, I cannot recommend Mb-Tex enough. Durable, feels rich and not at all rubbery/vinylly, and can be had with ventillated seats now.

Congratulations that ride is a real knockout! I was back for skipping wipers in my 2021 Lunar Blue/Macchiato 450 but not much else.

I stare at mine too but it doesn’t mean it’s problem free. Far from it. I’m glad you are having a great time and I hope it continues. That color looks great too.

Normally not a fan of green but this is one of the nicest colors MB has available.

Ours has been trouble-free as well for 2 years although with 6k miles but that doesn’t really mean much.

Congrats on a nice car!
