2020 GLE-350 armrest cover one side doesn't open
Left side cover of the armrest doesn't open. I was able to find a YouTube video on GLE-450 which explains the procedure. I am wondering if anyone here has seen this similar issue and knows what is the part # for replacement springs. Thanks.

From the video, it looks like the spring "pop" out when he removed the trim piece surrounding the vent. It is possible that the original design means the spring wasn't secured enough. On the repair kit, you see that it has a white "retaining clip" which secures the spring in place.

Just curious if this was brought up to your service department as a warranty item? I'd think they would still be covered under the 4/50 factory warranty, and not considered wear & tear.

I didn't want to make a trip to the dealer just for this and only later find out it will cost me $$$ out of pocket, so I sent an email to my service advisor. Here is the response I got. Not helpful. I was hoping this issue is something they are well aware of and would take in for quick fix. I'll probably wait until my next routine service in July and ask them to take a look.
Factory covers: repairs that are due to defect in factory workmanship (meaning the car came in with a problem right from factory) or defect in part ( meaning the part has failed)
Warranty does not cover items that are due to breakage , misuse …etc
Coverage is only determined by shop foreman.
