Good to hear it's been resolved. Thanks for updating us.
Nope. You missed it. You claimed emission controls, cut and pasted from your usual "167Lemon" spurts.
My post #6 regarding the gas cap identified the lack of gas tank sealing, was the key.

Maybe if you quit pasting the same anti 167 statement on every other thread in the whole darn forum, somebody other than your three cheerleaders might pay attention. TIA.

An evap system leak IS an emissions fault. Gasoline fumes leaking (emitting!) into the atmosphere.... Maybe if you had any clue about the technical aspect of these cars and weren't anything more than a cheerleading end-user and consumer, your opinion would be more valid to more than your 5 friends here, 2 of which already got rid of their one-sixty-lemons. Now go back to pasting your 167-best-car-on-the-planet drivel.

E55 what could we do to have you chill on the lemon stuff? Opinions are fine, helpful comments even better. If you posted a poll if the forum appreciated the same comment over and over I don't think we would be in favor of it.

Why yes, thank you, I am a Colorado certified emissions technician. Which is why I posted in number 6 above, to check the gas cap. Which is the first thing to check with check engine lights, because it's an indicator of a leak in the evaporative system.
Don't get upset just because you didn't call it first. No need for name-calling.

Just try not to paste your "emissions fault in a 167 lemon" quip so often. Maybe modify it a bit.

I know many say a loose gas cap causes many issues. Not that I crank on the cap but for me, it appears pretty simple to only do one 'click' for the cap to be secured. Are many folks just not going that far?

It’s a reference to the movie Shallow Hal. Jack Black and Jason Alexander are discussing quips and the timing of them. It was a quip at you about reviving an old thread.
Now mine has lost its meaning too. Carry on.

Check engine light 2024 Gle63s

Purchased a 2024 GLE63s. Within the first week my check engine light came on (gas cap is tight). Dealer ran diagnostic and couldn’t figure it out. Multiple codes showing… Dealer swapped me out to another 2024 GLE63s.

fast forward, new GLE63s is five days old and check engine light is on again (totally different vehicle). I know the break in procedure and have checked the gas cap. Diagnostic was run on the new vehicle and showed “evap leak.” Code reset and I was told to drive vehicle to see if it comes back on.

any feedback would be appreciated.
