Hi Carlinkit team,
I can confirm the test result is not equal to what you say.
Just like what I say: the wire Carplay is able to show Apple Maps turn by turn in HUD.
V167 <--> Wire Apple Carplay <--> iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 15.5
But after connect to Carlinkit mini 3.0 it become not working.
V167 <--> Wire Apple Carplay <--> SIMULATOR wire Carplay <--> Carlinkit hardware <--> Wireless Apple Carplay <--> iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 15.5
So, what I guess is: the SIMULATOR WIRE Carplay to V167 in carlinkit device is not the latest one and cause this issue.
Maybe upgrade the SIMULATOR WIRE Carplay to latest version can fix this issue.
As I know that Apple Carplay is able to do upgrade from cell phone.
This is why Apple Carplay is able to support new feature.
So, please work on this on all carlinkit product.
PS..For mini 3.0 ($100 and within one year only) is not stable issue.
I think Carlinkit need to fix it or maybe newer Carlinkit 3.0/4.0 might also had this issue some day later.

I’ve read mixed reviews for these things. One advantage of the wired CarPlay is the lossless audio, which really stands out for the 3D Burmeister. However, I hate the fact that doesn’t take up the entire screen.
Does this CarPlay use the entire screen for our model of car? Can anyone, other than the vendor, take a picture and share it showing it taking up the entire screen?

I talked to three Amazon representatives before getting to a qualified administrator who call me back. They are contacting the company as such disclosures of no technical support should have been stated on the Amazon web site. Apparently, they are going to their attorneys. I also notified the BBB. I hope others follow suit/

You need to purchase a wireless CarPlay adapter as shown in post#2 to make the wired CarPlay wireless. Works 100% for us even with two paired iPhones. The only thing that happens occasionally is that it shows either instantly or it takes a minute or two to launch (meanwhile showing only the connection settings).
No brainer from a convenience factor. Unfortunately Mercedes has been 6 years behind BMW on the wireless implementations and only MBUX2 cars have it at this point...

Yes, MBUX2 has no such limitation but then the interface and form factor has changed quite a bit with the center screen. It's a nice improvement over the original MBUX. Sadly, given the progression there will be little chance that Mercedes will update the software to make it full-screen.

Apple has been increasing prices and limitations on manufacturer agreements, as well as their App Store vendors. Apple wants a lot more control.
Many auto manufacturers have decided not to play ball anymore. Also a lot of App Store vendors.
I am more surprised that Mercedes hasn't updated their Android Auto agreement, though, because there are a whole lot more Android phones than Apple phones.
Maybe something else going on.

There are many different retailers on Amazon who sell products under the official title of carlinkit, but they do not actively provide technical support to their customers.

Comand systems were not touch controlled but MBUX is so they left space for the temperature control, notifications, etc. to be touchable as CarPlay would overlay those elements.
There are no other reasons than somewhat poor UI design…
