So, after buying Navigation with the vehicle you have to buy it again. I don't think buyers realize this (I sure didn't).
That is not correct. Navigation is a one-time purchase.
If it came from the factory, you don't need to buy it again. But you can supplement it with live traffic and map update services, which will require a yearly fee.

I would hope so; otherwise I can see a class action lawsuit coming. However, in what I received it is not clear.

So looks like you don't have to re-purchase this as it was "previously purchased" and already activated and is permanent. Everything else that is available for purchase (as of now) adds up to $185/year, at least for me.

I see the same thing on mine. The optional services would be worth purchasing if they were really good, but they're not that great. I'm in the country and Live Traffic is pretty worthless but would imagine it's better in a metropolitan area. Gas prices are never even close. Mercedes is going to have to improve their software considerably if they want people to buy yearly subscriptions.

I can only see myself paying for Vehicle Monitoring, Vehicle Setup, and Remote Engine Start so about $65 per year which comes to $5.xx per month.
That is quite overpriced considering that in many new connected vehicles you get a multitude of services at $10 per month all in, including streaming music etc.
Curious to see how the pricing works for the new MB electric vehicles and what services they include in those models.
I just noticed in the email I received regarding Vehicle Setup renewal it says, "Renew now: Personalization will only be available until Jul 16, 2022." It sounds like if you don't renew immediately you cannot in the future?
38 months and 20 days on one service; others appear to be 12 to 25 days longer (can't order yet). Go figure!
I put my vehicle in service on 6/13/2019. Some of mine expire on various dates next month (July) but the majority expire on 8/31. I guess there is a reason for the differences, but it must be a secret!

All of mine expire exactly 3 years from in service date. .
