Weird Volume Issue

Is this normal? When it switches between a navigation voice prompt and then back to CarPlay Music, the volume will be very loud for a very brief second before going back to normal. Does this happen to anyone else? I have the high-end Burmeister.

Probably your I-Phone. Try a reboot, or reinstall the app. Let us know.

That happens to me a lot too on CarPlay w/either nav voice prompts or even the "keep your hands on the wheel" ding

Anyone know a setting to fix this? If I’m listening to CarPlay music and a text comes in, it will mute the music then after a brief pause kick the music back on at a uber loud level for a second.

Must be an Apple thing. It's not an issue on our 2019 or the 21. Android.

I'm pretty sure it's a setting on your phone to not send sound notifications through CarPlay, but I can't find it on my phone right now. I know I have it disabled, as I get notifications that texts have come in, but they do not interrupt what's playing with a ding or anything. EDIT: Found it - I disabled the "show in carplay" notification for Messages via Settings -> Notifications -> Messages, then turn off "Show in CarPlay". Give that a shot. Good luck.

This issue also happens in my GLE too, where when the music played through CarPlay resumes after a nav prompt, it spikes in volume for a second and resumes to its previous volume. It doesn't seem to happen when it's playing the radio though, so I'm guessing it's a CarPlay issue. I have an iPhone XS Max and the Burmester Surround Sound on my GLE. It's not a huge issue, but something that's definitely noticeable. Has anyone figured out a workaround?

Mine mutes things in Android Auto for a second or two. I think it reduces the volume on calls and maybe in reverse. I’ve ignored it but two days ago on a phone call I had to ask the party to repeat what they said. Our Audi reduces volume in reverse and maybe a text but don’t think it does anything on phone calls. My thinking is that it mutes for safety reasons in reverse and the others are tied to that -right or wrong!
I don’t know about music….
