Question How do you turn off radio w/o turning off navigation voice

When I want to turn off my radio and also have my nav system on, the voice on my navigation stops. I know that there must is a simple way to just to just turn off radio and leave navigation unaltered however I don’t know what it is. I use the volume control wheel on the console or on the steering wheel and just push it in to turn radio off, is that not correct? Also is there a voice command to turn radio off and not affect the navigation? Thanks for any input you can offer.

I can’t remember, but aren’t the nav prompts a separate volume setting? Can’t you just leave the radio on but turn down the radio volume to zero, leaving the nav prompts unaffected?

Have you tried to mute the radio?

Yes , I certainly can do that, however, I would think you can simply just turn off the radio. Doesn’t seem to be very user friendly, thanks

I have to double-check this, but I'm pretty sure in my non MBUX C63 with latest COMAND pressing the volume button briefly just mutes the audio source and doesn't mute the nav instructions. There's a separate setting to mute the nav instructions or I can use voice commands and say "Turn voice guidance on/off". I think if you press the volume button during a voice instruction then it mutes the navigation audio, similarly to how you can change the navigation volume while it's speaking w/o affecting the volume of the audio source.

^^^ This ^^^

Just click the volume dial once (either one, they both do the same thing). This will mute the radio and keep everything else on.

There is no reason to turn it off if it's in the background and muted.

You're making it too hard.
Just mute it, which you already know how to do. Sounds like it's TOO user friendly in your case.

If you're worried about current draw, don't. It's a Class D amp, which draws almost no current when idle.
