Just got a brand new 2022 GLE450 with burmester audio system, and I feel a very noticiable left foot rest vibration when I play any kind of Audio, it seems to be the bass.

Its Very unconfortable; Is this normal or should I bring it to the dealership? Do you have any solution ? Thanks

It's normal unfortunately. Both front foot wells have an 8" 'sub'. Definitely one of the weak parts of the Burmester system.

I found it to be very annoying at first but have gotten used to it. I think my bass is set to -3

I have read this before on other posts; however, MY 22 GLE450 doesn't do this. In fact, sometimes I feel like it doesn't have enough bass. Perhaps an issue with my build. I will have to get it checked out. Additionally, I am very disappointed in the burmester system that I paid extra for. IMO, the sound quality is poor, and I rarely hear any sound coming from the door speakers.

You are not alone, that bass powered dead pedal is awful, I totally agree with you. I was going to try and add dynamat under the carpet, but didn't want to tear open a brand new car.

It got a little better when I ditched the crummy carpeted floor mat for a rubber one, but not much

The system is super heavy/boomy in the mid-bass, you can turn the boom down a lot using the equalizer and not loose what little real bass there is.

My solution is that I just listen at lower volumes to different music types.

This is kind of annoying. I think both the base and 3D Burmester have the same woofer location in question. I’ve gotten accustomed to it, but there are better locations for that speaker, like under the seat in the floorboard. There’s no pass through vibration, at least there wasn’t for the HK under seat woofer in my BMW. I think the foam seat base and the way they mounted it in the floor reduced any pass through vibration.
