Coolant Flush
Coolant Flush
Just got a check coolant level message. How long do I have to add more coolant from the time of the message? Won't be able to do for a few weeks. Also, should I do a flush or add more coolant?

You shouldn't have to flush your system if you just adding a bit of coolant.
Here is a supplier of OE Mercedes coolant. https://www.autohausaz.com/pn/MB-Q1030005
I think that's the correct spec for all new Mercedes, and I think it supersedes and is backward compatible for older specs. DO NOT quote me on that - check the vendor's specs further down and verify that you're comfortable.

Also second is the antifreeze MBparts says is compatible. The one you provided appears to not be one of the part numbers cited as a superseding part order.

Since there seems to be a few options (Xerex is another aftermarket supplier, not OE) I'd ask my dealer, who will look it up by your VIN.
I probably go to the dealer to buy the correct stuff.
For that matter, since I don't have any way to dispose of 5 gallons of coolant (it's toxic), I'd just have the dealer do it.
Is there a special way to burp the system?
Edit: check your owner's manual for the correct reference point on the overflow reservoir. Check when cold, and use that reference point.
