Protect home address

Hi

I’ve finally picked up my factory ordered 2022 GLE 450 (will post pics soon). I’ve always resisted saving my home and office address in previous cars. Is there a way to protect profiles and home address etc with a PIN?

I never add my home address there’s a McDonald’s down the street from my house I use that as my home address😂. If someone steals my car or say valet person or whoever gets my home address copied they will go to McDonald’s.

I do the same with my phone (and cars) but then every time I try to fill out paperwork online it puts in the wrong address.

Yes, there is PIN protection if you so desire. Should be under the system settings. I've never really bothered much with this, though. Somebody has to have the key to turn on ignition in order to get at the data. Where do you keep your car registration, which I assume has your home address on it? If somebody really wants to know where you live they can lookup your license plate. Should focus the energy on protecting your home. Add a security system and smart technology, so you get notified when your garage door opens for example and the alarm goes off if they manage to enter the house. Using smart home technology you can automate things and make sure all your doors are locked when you leave and such, and the alarm system serves as a deterrent. Also make sure there's good lighting around your house at night.

Or just deploy a few of these around the perimeter…

As others have said, getting your home address is easy enough. On the subject of security systems, I have one that works very well...a beagle named Bugsy
