Mercedes Electric Cars Being Shown At Dealer

We are in AZ for the winter. Was in one of their dealers this morning. I was amazed at the number of models they had in electric. Asked one of the sales guys how sales were going and he said,'Kind of slow for sure" for the electric but regular sales are pretty good. Are people actually financing purchases at 5-6-7? Cash is king!

Lots of money tied up in inventory that's not selling. I'm really puzzled by this whole electric thing going on. Dealers being forced to buy inventory that's not really selling that fast or the public really haven't bought into it yet.

Governments have to flexible on the timing.

It also doesn’t help that they start at $115 K!

That’s very true. The EQS was listed at $135,000.00. In Canada it’s around $175,000.00.

My local dealer had over half their inventory in electric vehicles recently. It’s coming but I don’t have to like it or buy it.

Same at the local dealer, lots of EVs parked in the showroom and adjacent to the main entry doors/walkways.

And even more combustion vehicles in the lot, mostly GLCs. I don’t go in there because there is nothing in the MB lineup now that I would exchange for anything of value.

No more MB:(
Mercedes EV inventory will continue to pile up. Expect deep discounts around the corner for anyone interested. Personally I find the entire EQ line already tired looking and dated.

They approached EV design the wrong way...

My dealer seemed to have 50-50 EV and AMG, with a smattering of GLE350s. A Maybach, some GTs for variety. Not much under $100k.
The EVs have been selling well they say.
