Thoughts on this Certified GLE63s
I've owned a GLE53 for a little over a year now and while I love the car as a total package, there's a bit to be desired in the performance department. The 53 is no slouch but it doesn't get the adrenaline flowing like a proper AMG should. With that said, I've been contemplating trading my current 2022 GLE53 for a certified 2021 GLE63s (Used 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GLE 63 S-Model 4MATIC For Sale $106,890 | Cars.com). With the market shifting towards buyers, it seems like the appropriate time to go for it. Not even a year ago you had to give an arm and a leg just to even get the chance to buy a 63 but now it seems like they are reasonably priced even though they are still pretty rare. Given Mercedes future plans, looks like V8 engines will be a thing of the past so it would be nice to own one before they are gone for good. With that said, I was hoping to get the community's opinions on the specific one I linked here. It's been on the lot since October and they've been cutting the price ever since. It's ~$107k right now and I am assuming they won't budge since it seems to be a good deal, but I would probably be able to negotiate the trade in. Anyway, any advice on the process of buying and owning a 63 would be much appreciated.

It looks like they don't have Driver's Assistance Package 2.
Wheels?
Can you get a copy of the Monroney?
IMO Obsidian Black is the best!

I love the Obsidian Black. Every time I see any GLE in that color, I regret going with the Selenite Grey. Not the biggest fan of the wheels on it (same as the ones I have on my 53) but not a deal breaker. It has all the options I wish I got on my 53 but couldn't justify spending over 100k for a 53 at the time. However, 100k on a 63 seems like a good value proposition especially given the miles it has on it.

Viti usually seems to be on the overpriced side but if that one's well priced, fantastic. Only thing is that one is a relatively early build car ("showroom unit").

It's a judgment call about the 21-in tires. 22s would be more than half worn out by now, and replacement choices are limited and expensive.
I like my 21s.

This one has vin in the 280000s which for the 63 would mean it's a showroom unit (and code 16P on the build sheet confirms that). That means it was built in the first regular production batch, before customer and dealer orders but after preproduction/press cars. It would have been one of the first to show up at a dealership, and possibly held for a few weeks for test drives, although this car's carfax suggets it was exactly one week after having arrived with delivery miles.
So I don't think there's risk of this having been a press car. @mikapen I assume you're brining up your experiences with your e-abc GLE450. That car (I'm pretty sure) was a pre production (trial 3?) car, which may have been used for press purposes or even just testing internally by MB. I've seen GLE63s like that but they have vin numbers in the 120000-160000 range, and often show up at dealerships (first carfax entry) with 5000-10000 miles on them.
That being said, it's still one of the earliest GLE63s made. This one seems to have a great carfax, but I've seen others built around this time that are lemons, or have to go back to the dealer a lot. I think you'd be better off with a car with the vin in the 3, 4 or 5 hundred thousands.

Don't get me wrong, I also prefer the 21 inch tires especially given the more comfortable ride quality but just not a fan of the design. If the 21s looked like the 22s, that would be ideal.

A few more miles but it's a higher optioned car with a lower selling price. AND it has the subjectively better 22" wheels.

@Vdhroso Are all-season tires needed?

Appreciate the detailed breakdown here. This is one of my concerns with it being a 2021. I read a lot about the early batches of this year being lemons. It does have a clean carfax with 1 of the owners being corporate (so most likely the GMs car for a few months) and then 1 personal owner. My 2022 GLE53 has been bulletproof so far (knock on wood) and it is in the 5 hundred thousand VIN range.

Yea heated steering is one option I would miss but it has the Alcantara steering wheel so it wouldn't get as cold as leather. Still though, heated steering is awesome in colder climates (I use mines everyday in the winter). Actually, don't mind the white pattern on the black seats. Lightens up the dark interior a little bit.
