Mercedes-Benz Set to Kill Most Coupes and Wagons in Its Lineup

Relevant content:
A number of two-door coupes, wagons, and SUV coupes are destined for discontinuation.
Based on what we've seen, of the 33 body styles Mercedes currently offers between Europe and the U.S., only 14 will survive.
New generations of GLE and GLC Coupes will debut in the coming years, but after that, their lineages will also end. (Certainly this means the GLE SUV has one more generation, as well)

Found the article tho: https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a4...s-killed-soon/
Not surprising.. the comments on that article seem to place the decision entirely on MB itself but I assume a lot of it has to do with the new regulations. Fleet emissions requirements and 100% carbon-free by 2035 make it really hard to have a diverse portfolio.
The body styles we lose now will probably come back in the future as EVs
