Door locks

Is there any way to use the inside lock button to lock the doors when leaving. Its so convenient to just press that button while seated rather than having to stand in the rain to touch the door handle or fumble around with key fob…Not buying the “won’t accidently lock keys inside car”

Are you serious? If that's so much of a big deal, use the app to lock when you're "safe". Or buy a BMW.

Locking

There is not a way, AFAIK. But I agree with mb2be - you already have your hand on the door handle when closing the door, so touching the little depression is pretty simple costing you maybe an extra 2 seconds in the rain.

Whenever I use the little depression on the outside door handle, it actually takes LESS effort that pressing the button inside or using the key.

No, you can't lock with the inside button if the door is open. I know you didn't wanna hear it, but I've locked keys in that way in the past multiple times. However, I think a lot of people overcomplicate the locking. You don't actually have to use the depression to lock. You just need to touch the outside of the handle. There are multiple sensors in the handle. I simply lock by touching the handle with the back of my hand. Make sure you are not holding the door handle, as the sensors for unlocking are on the inside.

I tried this yesterday and I never knew you could lock the door by just simply tapping the door handle and not just the little depression! Thank you!

I'm guilty of this but it's amazing what you can find when you read the manual!
