A few weeks ago someone posted on the AMG forum that their brand new GLE came with the wrong bumper that was burning up.
I’ll say it again: that factory has major quality control issues. It’s scary to think what kind of crap leaves that factory. Everyone from management to the workers are asleep at the wheel.

My GLE 63 coupe is nine months old with 8K miles and has been perfect other then a bottom seat cover that was replaced I wasn't happy with. I love this car.

That is a rare 1:5 built!!!! after 20 years that GLE will cost millions! I have seen a C-class that has a sport side skirt on one side then a classic skirt on the right side. But something is not right with that photo. If you look closely on the diffuser one has the right circular opening and the other for the rectangular tips. That is photoshoped by someone who just wants to have fun and do lots of click bait.
I once took delivery of a 04.5 Volvo S40 with aluminum trim on the center and the wood trim on the door. 1 of 1. Monroney sticker says wood. I was offered a swap but didn't want rattles and possible scratch marks on it so I left it as is. 1 of 1.
This is laughably embarrassing if you ask me. My GLE had so many build issues that this kind of crap doesn’t surprise me one bit; it’s blatant evidence to what I already knew all too well.
This is an overt, obvious example. Imagine all of the stuff lurking behind panels that can’t been seen that plagued my GLE.

Reminds me of this old post on BP. Sometimes I wonder how things get past in the factories. Luckily we faced no issues with quality or reliability with our GLE when we had it, of course YMMV.
This car has the fake exhaust tips from a 350 on it. Those are completely closed as the exhaust pipe on the model points downwards unlike the 450’s and up.
No wonder they melted right away; the exhaust has to go somewhere…

You mean the scratch marks? I think it was a poor PDI job but the exhaust tips were actually assigned to that VIN which is hilarious because OP of that thread mentioned that the dealership tried to order the correct part with that VIN and it gives the GLE 350 exhaust tips again. https://mbworld.org/forums/gle63s-gl...ar-bumper.html

If they had the wrong exhaust tips in the case of having the 450 tips instead of the 350 tips on the GLE 53, this might not have ever been noticed only because apparently not everyone pays attention to the exhaust tips, I think OP of that thread only noticed it once it got melted, so if it doesn't melt we will never see this mix up in the factory.

I saw the post on reddit too, didn't know we already have a thread on this, kudos to the other forum member that linked me here
but in all seriousness, was this the result of a Friday or Saturday night work?
In a way I don't get it, aren't everything confirmed by a computer before a part is to be installed? not the GLE but I seen AMG and 4MATIC badges on the rear once here on the forums, can't find the thread, and the actual model is missing, again was straight from factory.
