Something is going on in that plant all of the sudden when they have consistent quality control issues like these but then begs the question, what happened: https://mbworld.org/forums/eqs/86857...ed-pedals.html
Unless I am totally mistaken and the EQS isn't built in the Alabama plant.

Correction to my post: On the other thread someone commented that the EQS was built in Germany other than the SUV, from where OP of that thread posted it, we so far believe they have a sedan so it was German built.

thinking it's due to COVID. Yet BMW still has factory tours available in Spartanburg Greer SC.To be clear, yes there are quality control issues on my GLE due to the poor fitment of the driver's side front fender and hood alignment, which i was able to repair by myself. There have also been some electrical glitches, but they seem to have gone away.
You definitely get a better built vehicle if made on the German assembly plant. Should we be surprised?

I wanted to visit the Tuscaloosa plant firsthand but this is the message I received:

The Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. Visitor Center will remain closed and plant tours will remain suspended to the public as we prepare to launch our new all-electric vehicles in early 2022.

The reason I wondered about Fake News was the 2022 date.
Your link also shows 2022.
So, now I wonder if it's no longer closed. I didn't call. Not "wondering" enough to take that step.
Like you, I wasn't curious enough to find out.
