Close Windows from App

Hi GLE Forum

I saw a video where some folks have have been able to close their windows from the app. Is this possible in the US, or is there a specific option that's needed?

Haven't tried it because I haven't seen it. It's not to say the app can't do it. I know the app can lock the doors however. Maybe if the windows are open, there will be an option in the app to close them. You can also close/open the windows from the keyfob.

Nope, I'm frustrated by the simple things that just aren't an option on our vehicles. Overall, I love my GLE, but c'mon not much can be done from the app that is functional, besides pre-loading an address for GPS. Cool stuff is a non-starter, but I still love the look and feel overall.

Happy Riding!

Vehicle tracking while in use is a pretty good feature. I often use the remote start and lock. I was not able to find a way to roll up the windows though. It'll tell you if they are down, but that's all I could get it to do.

Apps for other makes will save journeys so you can tell exactly where the vehicle has been, but not while the vehicle is running. On my Jag, the issue was that it only worked about 50% of the time for remote actions like windows/lock/beep, and it took for ever. So far on by E450 the app has worked 100% of the time and pretty quickly too. I have heard that for many this is not the case.

Regarding remote actions, I noticed the MB app waits until it receives confirmation from the vehicle that the command was performed which is why it works 100%.
