Steering wheel vibrates when braking
I was wondering if anyone else had similar issues and maybe some solutions, as to why the steering wheel shakes so bad when braking more aggressively.
this didn’t happen with the older GLE (w166) or with the e w212.. so it’s definitely not something normal to have these vibrations in the steering wheel.
the dealership changed some control arm and a bearing in the steering column, under warranty, but still the problem persists…
it’s quite a letdown to have a new car and already have these kind of issues. Not to mention it’s not some kind of old or cheap car..
this isn’t even the first disappointment from Mercedes regarding this car, it was supposed to be delivered in last years autumn, but only this year in the spring it has been delivered (in Europe, they had logistics problems). And even the day we were supposed to pick it up, we got some error regarding the oil sensor pressure, and had to leave it for another couple of days in the service. Didn’t even manage to drive out of the dealership.. alas, they’re not what they used to be..
p.s another friend ordered a gle53 at the same time, had the Same problems, the first day the same oil pressure sensor was broken.
curious if others had this issue as well, maybe there was a batch of broken sensors?
