What direction does the tapered part of the OBD2 face?

Can someone please verify if the tapered part (the narrow part) of the OBD2 port goes toward the driver's seat or engine bay? Just seated the OBD loom back and not sure which way it should be oriented from the factory. I installed it so the tapered part faces the driver's seat. Hoping I got it right.

Would someone mind poking their head underneath just see which direction their tapered part faces?

Thanks!

EDIT: my other question was answered. The green pigtail is for a plug and play trailer brake controller:
Does anyone know the purpose of this green plug? I saw it when I was removing something being powered via my OBD2 port to do a diagnostic scan. I didn't see any connectors nearby.

Removed the cover where the OBD2 sits and noticed this.

Edit: The green plug is used for a plug and play trailer brake controller.

If anyone could point your phone camera in selfie mode to see the ODB2 port and let me know the correct orientation of the taper, I'd greatly appreciate it.
