[QUOTE=BBinTX;8878767]我打算週一將我的 GLE 起重機司機。我的期望是他們使用一種靜音機制替換機制,或更改編碼以消除開啟/關閉。隨著流程的進展,我將在下週更新線程。[/QUOTE

很高興聽到如果他們有更新軟體讓相機在低速時不會彈出,請分享這個好消息給我們,謝謝

Rear Camera
My dealer told me last week that it is normal operation for the rear camera to open every time I slow down while driving. Not only does this make an annoying buzz sound that I can hear when the seats are down, it's certain to break over time (particularly in cold weather with ice/snow buildup).

BBinTX did you get any resolution from dropping in at dealer? My wife has the 2024 GLE 350 and the camera noise is driving her crazy. We've brought it to the dealer where we bought it (Mercedes of McKinney, TX - Dallas area) twice already.....with no luck. They seem to say the same thing that others in the thread are saying...which is that this is how the car was engineered and therefore it is working properly. We are bringing it to another larger dealer today, Mercedes of Plano, TX to see if their mechanics have a better solution. If not, we are selling the car. Selling a nearly brand new 2024, which we'll lose money on to buy another, obviously, non Mercedes vehicle. To say we are frustrated is an understatement.

Same problem as everyone else here on this thread, 2024 GLE 350 with noisy camera constantly opening and closing, to the point that every person that gets in our vehicle looks back and says..."is there something rolling around loose in the back of your vehicle?" We live in a large neighborhood whereby the speed is 25 MPH, so just the 3 minute drive out of the neighborhood, we bounce above and below 20 MPH often, so the camera is constantly, and noisily, opening and closing.
DO NOT BUY A 2024 Mercedes GLE is anyone is reading this. We are about to sell ours.

My 2024 makes a little noise when the camera is extended or retracted. Certainly not enough to consider getting rid of the car over. I never noticed it at all until reading this complaint.

Same issue
I got my 24 GLE450e last week and also noticed this issue. The noise made by the camera opening is annoying especially it happens at every stop sign. Does anyone have good luck in addressing this issue? Thx!

I drove my GLE450 around yesterday listening for when the camera comes out. It appears to deploy when the vehicle is placed in reverse, or when the perimeter obstacle detection system becomes active when parking. There was no constant in and out based on speed. I wonder if it is a software issue or setting that causes it to be more active on some cars.

2023 EQE 500 SUV electric and 2024 Jaguar F-PACE SVR 5.0L
Has nothing to do with camera calibration. It's the Parktronic system. You can see the blue square with a capital P pop up on the driver info screen as the camera pops out. The blue P box then goes away as the camera retracts. And there's no way to turn Parktronic off on my EQE 500 SUV even though I've never used it and probably never will. So it's just a camera destroyer function to me.

what year GLE450? I believe this issue is new to 2024 models.

According to the operator’s manual (2024 GLE, page 291), Parking Assist PARKTRONIC is automatically activated when the vehicle is started.

doesn’t look specific to 2024… I drove 2022 GLE, I didn’t notice any sound even when switching to reverse.
either some people are more sensitive to it or they just concentrate too much on it to a point it’s driving them crazy

I picked up my 20024 GLE 450 from dealer service today after a couple conversations and examples driving with SA while it was there. Couple things came out. 1) The camera design is generally crappy (not silent) 2) The camera opens with force and then extends to get best view. Combination of the two create the noise. 3) To date there is no code options for the dealer to simply leave the camera open 100% of the time or to change the amount of times it opens/closes.
The solution they came up with was to 1) add insulation and felt tape inside the internal cavity behind the camera inside the trunk lid and 2) lubricate the mechanism. When I left we decided I would give it two weeks to see how it was.
Early results on drive home is that the insulation drove 70-80% reduction in amount of the sound to the point that it is not noticeable over the radio. So very much improved. More to come....

Ok, so I took my delivery early this month and have 300+ miles on it at this point. Not much to say, my observations are exactly the same as @BlueYonder 's - the rear camera does not deploy based on speed, it only deploys when cameras screen shows up on MBUX screen. I have all assist systems turned on. I also confirmed by testing that Parktronic doesn't rely on it for finding spots, it shows spots left/right of you with rear camera closed.

It also deploys in car wash mode, and the lens gets cleaned.

Whichever method is used, the car still needs to move past the open parking space in order to fully define its parameters.
I believe it uses the rear radar sensors.
It is frustrating when there's traffic behind, because to them it looks like you have vacated that spot.
