So my question is, what are good alternatives to the GLE 53 AMG SUV and Coupe? I checked out a few contenders like the X6, Q8 and the Cayenne and Cayenne Coupe, but I have been mostly Mercedes and I do not know enough about the other brands and have never driven them/owned them before. I would like to get some info from people who have owned these before along with their GLEs for some real world insight.

Right now I have my 21 GLE 350 with 25K miles and the lease is up in about 4 months. I am starting to consider alternative options because I don't think it is reasonable to take delivery of a 100K car that is not exactly how I ordered it and to have the dealership not even give a good discount and trade in value for my current car. Sure they can maybe throw in a service package or something, but I am not able to see the justification. So my question is, what are good alternatives to the GLE 53 AMG SUV and Coupe? the value of your trade in should be set as its a lease. Hopefully you paid for the damage waiver. Ive leased 5 MBZ back to back and never even needed to discuss the old lease that was being returned. Sounds like you are dealing with a shady salesperson/sales manager/dealer. Just my 2 cents

I just traded in my 2020 GLE 450 (86k miles) on a 25 GLE 53. I got just about 8% off, which includes a Mercedes reignite bonus. I absolutely love the 53. Cafe in exactly the way I configured it. Btw there are lots of 2025 GLE 53s at various dealers. You might consider trying a different dealership

The value of your trade-in should be the actual cash value, ACV, of the car in the current market conditions. It's unrelated to the residual value.Originally Posted by cpg121774

However, if your residual value is less than ACV, you can buy it out of the lease, and trade it on the new one receiving a credit for the difference. It's a win-win.
In most states you'll have to pay sales tax on the purchase, but you'll save that money or more by trading on the new car.
On the other hand, if your residue is higher than the ACV, you can just walk away. (A more likely scenario.)
