I just got a phonecall back from the dealer, the second set is not suitable for 53amg, it simply says it on the list of winter wheels they have received from Germany. The wheels do fit on a Gle53, but because of the list they received they will not take my order. Fair-play, the agent also provided me the full list of wheels I can choose from, it includes the 20" wheels that Chrislk55 has mentioned previously, the 21" set I mentioned in the previous post and of course the 22" wheels.
I have attached the list, it's in German, but google translate does wonders![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
So, problem solved for me, I got my answer. I will order the 21" set or just a set of winter tyres for the 22" wheels.
Thanks, guys! All the best!

I think I'd just buy the 22-in tires.
I hesitated about putting winters on my 21 inches because of the old "wide tires are horrible in snow" adage.
New winter tire tech and compounds are pretty amazing, though.
Guess what. My 21-in winters have been more than acceptable.
Most of my winter driving has less than 3 in of snow, however, and my biggest obstacle is black ice and snowpack.
I don't think a wide tire makes a difference in those conditions.
