GLE 450e: Warning Lights - "Performance Extremely Limited"

Besides that grill makes the car look like it is related to Buc-ee
BMW solved the coolant leak issue. And I guess no vehicle is trouble-free. But leased the EQB in July '23 and since Nov '23 it has been a constant source of trouble. The dealer is clueless about what to do and gets its cues from MB engineers. The MB engineers are clueless and nothing they suggest works. And now I face at least 3 months of the lawyer fighting with MB. I have a phenomenal dealer with attentive sales and service. They really are not allowed to get involved with advocating for me with MB (lawyer or not).
Had pondered a GLE450e but seems to be prone to the same issues as the EQB. I can only conclude that MB PHEV and BEV cars are flawed.
Prior to this had '21 GLE350 and before that GLC300. Both cars were flawless and the only issue was squeaky rear breaks after getting the GLC.
Dealer has it for 2-3 months this visit and they have no idea what is wrong with it. They are just saying factory engineers gave them a list of parts, wires, sensors, pumps etc to replace since all of the last replacements didn't fix anything. Said the parts are still on backorder with no ETA however they keep building new ones with the "parts" we supposedly need but are not available.
This will put an end to this story and hopefully they negotiate fairly. They can see that I have (4) Mercedes in my house currently and I am glad I kept the 2021 GLE 53 which has never had issues. I will be going back to that one or my ML63 while we wait to see what is next. I think it may be time to consider another brand after this terrible experience.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I am disheartened to hear of all of the problems. I really like this car and wanted it to work out. Now I'm beginning to prepare for a buy-back battle. I bought the car in Virginia but live in Maine. I suppose the Virginia lemon laws would apply. In any case, I would love to know if anyone has successfully had this problem fixed. Thanks!

Since you bought in VA, the VA lemon law will be applicable.
BTW, my EQB required a rear motor replacement which they said was the cause of the "reduced power" issue.
2315 installed battery maintainer, sds, short test. Found code (P0A9300 The cooling system for the low temperature circuit has a malfunction.) stored in power electronic power unit. Processed fault code and it states possible air in the coolant system. Removed all upper and lower engine panels, completely drained the low temp coolant system.Reinstalled all panels.Used a vacuum bleeder to fill the low temp coolant system as designed. Performed the automatic bleeding procedure using the sds in the ptcu control unit three times. Performed an extensive overnight road test and no warnings or codes returned.
So, here's hoping that the problem is fixed.
All I can say is that I never had problems like this with my Hondas.
Thanks again for the support.
Took delivery of my fully loaded 2025 GLE450er on August 31, 2024 from the MB dealer in Chicago area. The car is beautiful and I loved it ! The range of the EV battery is perfect for my daily commuting to work, I was very happy with the car.
Then, on October 6, 2024, the 5-week old car with only 850 miles (~90% electric) displayed the Check Engine Light that would not go away. The car has been with the dealer for service for ~10 days now. The diagnosis given to me is a faulty (leaking) EVAP hose which they have to order from Germany. I can only hope that my problem is this simple and the part will arrive soon to solve the problem. Somehow, I have a deep suspicion that is going to be the case.

MB has permanently lost another customer. Will replace it with a BMW x5 xDrive50e.

Those are not really reliability studies. They are Initial Satisfaction Surveys - "was the car what you expected" is the general nature of the questions. Cheap car: low expectations. Expensive car: high expectations.
Powers also rated Hyundai top of the heap when their cars were leading even Ford in recalls, for serious things like engine failures, not confusion over menus.
If you want a reliable car, don't buy an advanced automobile, especially one that Powers or CR rates highly. Get one at the end of their model cycle. And RTFM.

It also shows that Slow tech and No tech is more reliable than new tech. With menus that people struggle with.
And those aren't reliability reports. They're popularity reports.
Cupholders are the CR reviewers' most important, critical features. They hate MB's cupholders with a passion.
Second priority? Too many dark interiors. Watch their online processes and discussions. It's a Parody of real reviews.
Reliably unreliable reviews.
