Identify that noise!!! Change your life today with a windfall of twenty whole dollars by simply identifying the correct issue causing the noise that I will attempt to describe in vague terms and additional context that isn't needed.

When crawling at slow speeds, say 3mph - 6mph, and the moon is waning, on a day ending in "y", we hear a brief squeal/moan. Reminiscent of a warped rotor, rhythmically emitting a squeak (but lower in tone), it generally happens when you are crawling in traffic, idling at low speeds with no brake and no accelerator. As soon as accelerator is applied, noise ceases. It is also not 100% consistent. If I drive around a parking lot slow enough, I can get it to occur, but I can't see a rhyme or reason.

To me it sounds like what it might sound like if you are crawling at slow speed and you manually pull up on a e-brake handle slowly. So maybe it's something to do with the P brake?

Thank you for playing my fun game, and scout's honor, I'll venmo you that 20 spot if you are the correct answer. *offer not valid in CA or NY

I'm in CA so I'm not eligible but I'll take a wild guess. Since you mention the noise disappears as soon as you apply accelerator, I'd guess the noise is coming from the engine bay and maybe one of the belts need lubrication.

I'm assuming you already know the source of the noise so when the game's over, let us know what it was.

GLE 350? It's obviously one of the squirrels that power the engine. Might be sick.

I'll guess it's one of the following:
  • Stuck debris in pads/rotors
  • Wheel bearings
  • CV joint
