Windshield GLE 350 4matic
Hi, can you please tell me my windshield number? mbparts.mbusa shows three options, and I do not quite understand what exactly from the factory in my car, I know there are people here who can find the part by vin number - 4JGFB4KB8LA054747.
Also would like to get opinions on alternative glass manufacturers Fyuao and Xyg.
I would be very grateful.

The different windshields are based on what options you have with the GLE. The sound insulating/heat reflective windshield is different from the windshield for the HUD option which is different from the windshield with no options. Personally, I would only consider Mercedes OEM glass with the Mercedes symbol engraved on it. I had to replace mine last year. It was at no cost to me (comprehensive covered it). Safelite ordered the windshield (it came form Germany), installed it and calibrated all the sensors. They did a good job.

Most OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) make several grades of glass.
Get the actual OE (original equipment spec) glass, not just a generic from an OEM.
Insurance might charge you extra if you go with the OE glass from the parts department, but that's the only way I know that I'm getting the best glass.
I used to know the various grades from OEMs, but it's pretty hard to follow now.
And the Daimler decal is a separate part number.

Specialty glass will take longer for the aftermarket to start copying, if at all, because of limited demand.
