The AMG comes with AMG Ride Control+ as well as Adaptive Damping System ... allowing several ride choices ....
Enjoy the test drives and the chase ....

Power (400+ hp), mileage (respectable), curb weight (good heft), cargo (best in class), interior (integrated displays), exterior (nicest 22" wheel choices of any option, IMO), priced in line with other options under consideration... all seem to thread my needle. As an E63 owner, I just need to make sure the ride quality is suitable for a DD. My wife, who is not a driving enthusiast, will be the principal driver.

Please note that 22" wheels come with summer tires. You'll have to figure out a winter option if snow or cold weather is part of your driving parameters.

GLE53 '24
I would go for the gle 53 amg with dynamic package, the ride quality is quite good in comfort mode. But if comfort is a big issue, I would stick to the 20" wheels, I had one 53 for a weekend with those wheels and the car felt significantly better than my car with 22" wheels. I wish they had the same two size rims on the 20" wheels also, that would be my pick, at least for winter time.

I'll piggy-back that tire pressure is also a factor in the overall subjective ride quality ... I have my spouse's MY23 GLE63s tires several psi lower than the fuel door numbers.

Yep... I've got winter wheels and tires for my E63, square setup, to complement the staggered summers. Thanks for the reminder that I'd need to do the same with a GLE53.

And to keep my comparisons fair, will want to add a line item for the winter set.

Thank you. @wildta offered similar prudent counsel regarding tire pressure, especially during test drives. Think I'll bring my mobile inflator with me, and then watch for the reaction on the CA's face when I pull it out.

2022 GLE 450
I also considered the SQ7 before I decided to get the 450. I've owned an audi for 16 years after all. One of the major deciding factors was the generous amount of space in the back seats of the 450. It's the best in class. Also best in class is the GLE aerodynamics. That combined with the EQ boost pays dividends for saving money on fuel.
