2022 vs 2024 GLE - advice requested ;)
Would really appreciate anyone’s advice on my dilemma. I’m trying to decide between two CPO vehicles.
One is a 2022 GLE450 that is loaded out - 14k miles, AMG Line exterior, heads up display, 4 zone climate, soft close doors, electronic window shades, heated/cooled seats, wooden steering wheel, driver assistance package plus, warmth and comfort package, night package.
The other is a 2024 GLE350 with Pinnacle Trim, Driver Assistance Package, but doesn’t have the AMG Line exterior and has 16k miles.
What I’m struggling with is concern over any noticeable tech difference because it’s not clear on what’s been updated. I understand that there is value and big benefit of the V6 vs the 4 Cylinder and that’s a big check in the positive column for the 450. The 2024 is $1500 cheaper and has the massaging seats which are great.
Are there any other big tradeoffs that I should consider? I’m leaning towards the 450 because of the engine, AMG line exterior, and low mileage, but the 350 is appealing because it’s newer.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

I'd go for the V6. In terms of tech, I find that the instrument cluster screen in MBUX 1.0 in the 2022 much more customizable than MBUX 2 in the 2024. In the 2022, you can customize the left, center, and right section of the display. In the 2024, you can only choose from a few information displays in the center portion. MBUX 2 looks a little more stylish, but not really a big difference.
For the center screen, MBUX 2 is a little faster/snappy, but otherwise they're nearly the same. The biggest difference though will be that the 2024 supports wireless CarPlay and full screen CarPlay. However, you can get a dongle like Carlinkit to add wireless CP to the 2022. It's a little glitchy randomly, but in my 2024 sometimes CP is glitchy too. I dunno about Android Auto.

The 2024 is going to have 2 more years of warranty so a better comparison might be to include 2yrs of extended warranty (Jeff Jackson of Louisville MB typically offers the best price) with the 2022 price.

If I’m not mistaken, I can extend 1 or 2 years beyond the initial 1 year CPO warranty. Any idea of pricing for each that I should expect?

The 450.
The straight six is a lovely engine. (Not a V6).
The extra power is nice and I actually got better fuel economy with six than with a 4-cylinder loaner I had for a thousand mi.
I have an aversion to keeping modern cars without a warranty or service contract, so I'd compare those extended coverages in my calculations. Which would include how long I intended to keep the car.
Get the one you think will make you smile when you see it in the morning.
