I finally got some time to work on improving the wireless charging situation in our car. You know, so your phone will actually charge. Here is what I came up with...
What's in the pictures:
1. A custom-designed tray with spaces for the rubber inserts on the sides and the bottom. It's firmly held in place by the friction of the rubber against the walls and the bottom and is made to exactly match that weirdly shaped space. No glue or anything like that is required. Remove the existing rubber pad and put the tray in place. The 3D model will be posted on some public exchange within a few days.
2.
Functionally, it's complete and should work for all MagSafe-enabled iPhones, excluding Plus and Max phablets as they likely won't fit due to their increased width. I tested it with my 14 Pro, seen in the picture, and it works great. Aesthetically, I'm still waiting for less shiny materials to arrive so I can make it closer to matte black for the main body and gray for the logo. Then I'll put a black matte skin on the MagSafe circle itself. I'll post the pictures once done.
Okay now 3D print us something that will redirect the floor vent under the driver's seat into the ventilated seat ducts so I can blast the AC floor vent and actually cool my back. 😜

Thanks, at this point, I've exceeded my 3d printing tinkering time allowance
I can't seem to find a way to edit my original post, so just posting it here...
The actual models are now published here: https://www.printables.com/model/943...7-magsafe-tray , so whoever want to print them is welcome. The updated picture with a more matte like material and a black skin for the MagSafe circle is below.
